Blakely and Ervin were allegedly preparing to rob a restaurant called Mrs Winner’s when they were both apprehended in the restroom. Twelve hours after killing the two men, they admitted to the killing; Blakely and Ervin killed a third guy, Lemetrius Twitty.

When Blakely and Ervin were apprehended, authorities discovered they were using the vehicle of one of the victims they had killed.
