Toby Dorr was a wife and mother when the Lansing Correctional Facility escape happened. She married her high-school boyfriend at 20 and bought a house nearby from their parents.

There, she began working as a web designer. Dorry spent a while in Boston and returned to Kansas after getting remarried. She presently resides in the Kansas City area with her husband and pets.
