Who Is Dana Delany’s Sister, Corey Delany?

American actress Dana Delany showered her love for her younger sister, Corey Delany.

The sisters have career paths worlds apart but share similar sentiments. In an interview with Daily Mail UK, she talked about her time in the popular television series, Desperate Housewives.

When asked about wanting to have kids, she replied in a negative, as she never wanted to lose her freedom.

Corey followed her thought process and remained childless in her old age. The women prefer to be the fun aunt for their nieces and nephews and would have the privilege of coming home to silence.

Despite being 66 years old, she is still single and has no plans to marry as she has yet to meet her prince charming. The probability of kids does not scare her, as she is open to the idea of becoming a stepmom.

Corey Delany Is One of The Three Siblings She Has

Artist Dana Delany, best known for her work in Body of Proof, is one of three siblings as she has one older brother named Sean and a younger sister named Corey.

The three musketeers grew up in an upper-middle-class family from Connecticut.

Sean is the only sibling to have a wife and kids, as he fathered two children. His career reached new heights when he got acquired to the Attorney General’s office and did breakthrough work during his time.

According to a tweet by Dana, he was one of the people responsible for the termination of the operation of the Trump Foundations, as they worked without proper certification.

Amongst the three kids, she was always outspoken about her love for performing artists, as she stated she always wished to go into acting.

After getting her education from the Phillips Academy, she wrote her first op-ed in 1974 about the transition to co-educational class.

Meanwhile, her desires reached new heights when she scored Emile, the lead role of Nellie Forbush in the school’s spring musical production of South Pacific opposite Peter Kapetan.

By the time she graduated, she had gotten an academic honor of nomination, cementing her inborn talents.

It was a no-brainer for her to get into theater as she enrolled at Wesleyan University and worked her way up to summer productions till she graduated.

Meet Dana Delany’s Family

66-year-old active actress Dana Delany comes from a broken family but still has the support of her loved ones.

In 1965, she was born to couple Mary and Jack Delany. They were part Irish and English as they followed Roman Catholicism. The entire clan was interested in the performing arts, going on weekly broadway shows for entertainment.

Alas, their bliss was not meant to last, as her family got split in two when her parents went through a nasty divorce.

She was only sixteen when the pair broke the news as they understood the bitter reality of money. Their father moved them to Virginia, taking the girl with him as Dana had to take care of the chores. As the eldest daughter, she went through with her responsibilities and matured in a short duration.

Meanwhile, her mother was left with nothing as she restarted her career. Her brother was of no help as he was off studying in college.

Despite their bitter endings, she never resented her dad for his actions, mourning his loss after his tragic demise from pancreatic cancer in 1981. He did not have much time with his second wife, as he passed away a year after remarrying.

She gets her firey passion from her mother, who has continued to work as an interior designer despite crossing 80 years.

The idea that a career is a top priority got inherited from the elderly lady, as being a mother and having kids never crossed her mind. By 16, she had declared she would never wed and remained glued to the mindset.
